Continuing our recap of what our entity has been up to until now, Marko wrote an impression of the Lower Saxony Campathon organised by @egea_hannover

This summer, I travelled to Lower Saxony, Germany 🇩🇪 , with my friend Klemen for an EGEA event. After a long journey involving bus and train transfers 🚌🚂, we arrived at a lovely campsite surrounded by forests 🏕️. The program included a night hike through abandoned war era bunkers, visits to a medieval cistercian monastery, and nature walks through wetlands. We also participated in workshops, learned some karate moves, played beach volleyball 🏐, and joined in the fun Geolympics challenges. On the final day, Klemen, I, and another EGEA participant, Paul, explored Hannover’s charming old town. It was an unforgettable trip full of adventure, culture, and new friendships 😊.

Before we get into the festive months, let us look back at where members of Egea Ljubljana spent their summer and autumn at various events across Europe 🌍.

This August, one of our members participated in the Baltic Weekend, which was hosted by @egeatartu and he wrote about his experience 🇪🇪.

I must say my experience was truly unforgettable. Combining culture with nature was my favorite part as we visited the Gauja national park in Latvia and two little towns with picturesque buildings. But not just the excursions, indoor activities were great too. For example, I tried out sauna for the first time and had a relaxing time in the hot tub. Food was also tasty and the best part was that pretty much all the food was estonian! And if I like anything more than eating food, it’s eating foreign food, which was especially great when we had Cultural fair. The Estonians educated us about the area we were staying in and the people that used to live here thousands of years ago, all in a geographical sense. The people I spent time with for those 3 days were some of the greatest people I’d met. We had so much in common! Overall, my experience from Latvia was very memorable so I will definetily participate in the next BW, because now I have a new appreciation for the Baltic states.

Thank you for representing our entity at this year’s Baltic Weekend Tim, and thank you for sharing your experience 🤗.
